PMD report

No matter, if you scan your files with PMD manually or just run it automatically before the build, all the detected issues are displayed in the PMD Report window that opens automatically. You can open this report manually using the Main Menu: View ⇒ Pads ⇒ PMD Report.

PMD report

In this window, you can find the complete list of all the issues discovered during the scanning with PMD. Each entry has:

  • an icon, that detects if it is a warning or an error,
  • name of an issue,
  • description of an issue,
  • link to the file, where an issue occurs,
  • name of a category.

In addition, you can filter all the entries:

  • by the category — open the drop-down list All categories and select a necessary one,
  • using filter — just start typing in the Filter field.

You can export results from your PMD report to CSV file, using the appropriate button at the top of the panel. All the data from the list will be stored in a file and you can use it outside of the IDE.
