Branching means you diverge from the main line of development and continue to work without messing with that main line. You can see all branches that are present in your Git repository in the Branches tab of the Version Control panel.


Here you can see the current branch, where you are developing, a list of branches with their date of last modification, and quick access to the option Create branch and Merge. These options are also available from the context menu. In addition, you can switch branches or view a branch's history from the context menu. The current branch is marked with bold text.
